That might work, but downsized to 28x28 pixels or 32x32 pixels it'd probably just look like a grey circle.

In 30x30 it looks like a gleaming grey circle. Nothing wrong with that, it looks different from all other badges then.

At the moment SubsetSum@Home sticks out by being the only subproject that I have scored more than 10,000 credits for and received no badge (OProject's weird-odd technically being a sub-subproject of weird_comb):

The symbol on the front page next to the SubsetSum@Home link and information about the project, just looks like a grey circle with lots of black dots on it.
It does not portray anything to me as a symbol for the project with a maths basis.

I am not sure what the actual formula is for the SubsetSum equation, but could that be used as the Badge symbol with same colour ranking as DNA ?
It does not have to be round either as it could be square.

The symbol on the front page *IS* a graphical representation of the actual formula..

Wow, how involved is that formula?
I didn't say I knew a lot about Mathematics, especially converting formula to graphics, more involved than I thought.
I do like maths it is just not my best subject.
Well that makes creating a symbol to represent the project quite difficult indeed.

EDIT:-- Doing a bit of research on what SubsetSum actually is, I now have a better idea.
From this I found that C is the symbol for Subset follow this with the SUM symbol, ∑, and you have your Badge; like this sort of C-∑.

While its nice to have a badge, and lord knows I like collecting them, I'd rather have S3 WUs first

We now have S3 WUs, can we have badges too? It is the only subproject for Citizen Science Grid that has no badges...

I'm all for it, just need to get a cool badge design... If anyone wants to contribute some I'd be happy to use them. Otherwise it might be a little while before I can come up with them as I'm not the best artist.

I can only suggest what I said in message 4907 above.
Sorry, but for me, shrinking current symbol would give a silver type disk that I believe doesn't give much of an idea what the badge relates to.
I am out of any other ideas though, so can't offer any other suggestions.

I'm thinking maybe we could use mathematical symbols. Sigma, PI, etc...

Hi, long time no see here. ;-)

I'm thinking maybe we could use mathematical symbols. Sigma, PI, etc...

Can/could they be combined? Would be probably better because yoyo used the Sigma already for a subproject.
So what are you guys thinking about something like this:

(Icon is currently 32x32p like the others)

Thanks. Seems Travis isn't home, but doesn't matter atm.
Some more examples to test what could be possible:

A changed shading and both symbols in different colours - could be helping when the ranking is not enough...
Feel free to add suggestions when you have some, I'll try if i can.

Look really cool to me! Sorry for being missing -- trying to recover from jet lag and a bad back from sitting on the plane too long!
